Staying Fit Under Quarantine

It has been weeks since the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) started. But what have you stored so far? Some say they bought enough food. Some even hoard all sanitary necessities. But for a teenager like you? What have you got so far? Unwanted fats? Unbearable body shape? Now, those shapes and curves aren’t really a problem. Always remember that you are beautiful no matter what shape or body type you have. But for those people who really do want to stay fit and toned while on quarantine, this list may help you. 1. So many stock food at the refrigerator that you can help ignoring them? Well you can still eat them, but remember, you only need to take small amounts. It is normal for your body to experience hunger most of the time, and it is healthy that once you get hungry, you feed yourself. Just remember to take small amounts and just eat enough to satisfy your hunger. At Least you won’t have to say goodbye to food! 2. Nothing to do while on quarantine? Take this moment of healing to energize yourself. Take time to do some workouts. Since we’re in a quarantine period, you don’t have to go to the gym ( I know it’s a hassle). Just click workout videos on youtube, then you’re set to go. Plus it’s free! You can even take your mom and siblings to go workout with you! It’s even more fun! 3. Look for ways to be more proactive. You never know, a simple chore of cleaning the house might even be a form of exercise to your body. It’s like you hit two birds with one stone. You’re not only fit and healthy, you also help your family with the household chores! 4. Sleep early. I know, I know. It’s hard! We’re in quarantine! We have all the time by ourselves. We don’t have work or school tomorrow so we can stay up late. But remember, if you want to lose weight, might as well sleep early so you can wake up early to start up the day! Also, you have all day to do whatever you want. It might be good to reward your body by taking a long, gentle nap. It’s also good to train our body clocks to sleep at the right time, I heard it can also help us do a better job on our daily tasks. 5. Drink water. Lots of water. Drinking water helps you boost metabolism, cleanse your body of waste, and acts as a suppressant. Now you may want to add water on your diet list! There are many ways to lose weight. If you have the courage and determination, then losing it will just be a piece of cake to you. Just remember, you’re not losing weight to satisfy people, you’re doing it to satisfy yourself. Just YOU. By having the right mindset, you will have the right set of goals. Now before this ends, let me leave you with a quote. “Train harder, or be stuck being the same.”
