I'm a NEWBIE, where do I start?

Hello there! I was a newbie as well just like you when I started, and it could get very overwhelming and confusing with all the terms and tools you’re not familiar with. That’s why we prepared something to help you start and get ahead of the game.

1. Click on GET STARTED. It includes watching the ORIENTATION VIDEO on your profile page. Follow the rest of the steps.

2. Go to the CHEAT SHEET and click on the NEWBIE REFRESHER. That tutorial guide will help you what to study first and where to apply.

By doing these two steps, I’m sure you will be guided to the right path on becoming a master in freelancing really soon. 🙂

How to download, install and use Zoom?

ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCING SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD & INSTALLATION TUTORIAL

FOR DESKTOP/LAPTOP:

Go to Zoom.us/ Resources/ Download Zoom Client,

“Page where you can download different types of Zoom Client Apps”…

– Download “Zoom Client for Meetings” Only – Then Install

“Link for direct download:” https://zoom.us/client/latest/ZoomInstaller.exe

FOR MOBILE:

Go to Google Play Store (Android) – Put in the Search Apps & Games placeholder the words “ZOOM Cloud Meetings” then Click INSTALL.

 

TO ATTEND A ZOOM MEETING

Copy the link given to you with this format (https://zoom.us/j/“Meeting ID”) and NOT (https://zoom.us/meeting/“Meeting ID”).

Example: (https://zoom.us/j/707302980) – Open the Installed Zoom Client App – Sign in if possible – Paste the Link (or the Meeting ID only) on the first empty field – Click “Join” the meeting.

 

ERRORS YOU MIGHT ENCOUNTER

1. I can’t join a meeting.

  • Just reload the page or close then enter the Zoom room again.

2. I can’t hear or talk to people.

  • Make sure you selected the DEVICE (microphone and speakers) you are using on settings.

3. People can’t see me.

  • Check and select the DEVICE (camera) you are using on settings.

4. I’m in but no one is here yet.

  • Just wait for other participants. If the host isn’t there, re-enter the Zoom room.

5. I am in the waiting room.

  • Wait to be admitted. We require using your FULL NAME, not just your first name, nickname, username or mobile name.

How do I set my Profile Photo to Public on Chatwork?

FOR DESKTOP/LAPTOP:

  1. Log in to your Chatwork account.
  2. Click on the DROP DOWN behind your name.
  3. Click on PROFILE, then EDIT PROFILES.
  4. Click EDIT on your PROFILE PHOTO.
  5. Click the DROP DOWN behind the photo and choose PUBLIC.
  6. Click on SAVE at the bottom.

FOR MOBILE:

  1. Log in to your Chatwork account.
  2. Go to ACCOUNT.
  3. Tap the PENCIL ICON at the upper right corner.
  4. Tap your PROFILE PHOTO.
  5. Tap PRIVACY SETTINGS.
  6. Set to PUBLIC.

How do I download and install Adobe Photoshop CC 2019?

Assuming you already watched and explored the Adobe Tutorial CC 2019 tutorial:

1. Log in to your account. (NOTE: Before anything else, maximize your screen or internet browser so that the QuickPro Applications will appear. Close any open notes if you are using browsers that have that kind of feature or extension.)

2. Scroll Down to APPLICATIONS and click on GET YOUR APPS NOW! Look for Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 & Click “Download”.

3. When redirected to the GDrive link, Click “Download Anyway” (Don’t worry. It has no virus.) and save the file to your most accessible folder.

4. Turn your internet connection OFF once download is complete

5. Extract the Zipped File. (Watch the Video for more details and follow the given instructions carefully.)

6. Go to our QPForum for the video tutorial. 

Where do I apply for a job?

To apply for freelancing jobs, we give you many sources. Click on the notepad files below and just choose among the many websites and Facebook groups to apply for a job. Or you can watch our TUTORIAL about JOB HUNTING on our COURSES tab.

How can I find the Zoom Link for the Live Class?

The Coach will post the ZOOM link on Chatwork minutes before the class. You can also log in to your profile and click on ENTER CLASSROOM. Almost ALL the LIVE WEBINARS are recorded so you can still watch if you couldn’t attend the live ones. The latest REVIEW classes are on WHAT DID I MISS section.

How do I make my website secure?

To make your website secure:

1. Login to your WordPress Dashboard.

2. Go to Plugins and install REALLY SIMPLE SSL.

3. Activate the Plugin.

4. On your WordPress Notification area, click Go Ahead Activate.

Your website is now HTTPS (secured) when you see the LOCKED icon on the address bar beside your domain name.

How do I secure my CPANEL?

Here are some tips to Secure your CPANEL:

1. Use secure URL (https) & 2083 port as your cPanel login URL.

Example:

https://tatlongbudoy.com:2083

You can also access your Cpanel easily using:

cpanel.tatlongbudoy.com

2. Change your cPanel password every 3 months.

3. Set “auto generated password” with a minimum 12-character length (18-character is better).

What are the good specs for my laptop?

Laptop specs differ for each job position. Admin tasks like customer support or chat support may not require a powerful laptop; but tasks such as video rendering, photo editing or animations may require higher end devices. We’ll be giving you the best laptop specs that can handle any job.

How can I get Zoom assistance and Chatwork support?

Make sure you’ve done all your best to solve your issue before asking for help. We have our FORUM and FAQ to guide you. Some tutorials on your COURSES tab also show how to do stuff. You can also use the SEARCH FUNCTION on Chatwork. Search on Google, Youtube, and other platforms. Lastly, the community is here as well to help and support each other so don’t be shy to ask on our Chatwork group chat.

I downloaded a SOFTWARE and it says the file is a VIRUS or DANGEROUS!!! Is it true?

No, it isn’t. The file simply has a sophisticated program and the computer misinterprets it as a threat. But don’t worry, you may turn off your Anti-virus and Windows Defender while installing it. Then turn them back on after the process. The file is 100% safe and harmless.

How do I turn off Windows Defender in Windows 10?

Some apps like Sony Vegas Pro13, Microsoft Office 2016,  Adobe Application need to be patched/activated to work so you need to TURN OFF your Antivirus/Windows Defender and Firewall because it will delete the patch file. Again, they do NOT have VIRUS and they are NOT DANGEROUS.

How do I download, install and patch SONY VEGAS PRO 13?

Sony Vegas Pro is a video editing software package for non-linear editing (NLE) originally published by Sonic Foundry, then by Sony Creative Software, and now by Magix. How do I end my subscription?

Where and how do I get my certificate? Where do I take exams?

To obtain your certificate, you need to first study the course you want to be certified for. After studying that specific course, go to your profile and click on CERTIFICATION. It will show you a video that instructs you on the steps you will do next. Remember, watch the Certification Video first before taking an exam. You need to pass a course to get a certificate.

How do I activate the full version of Adobe After Effects CC 2018?

Adobe After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application developed by Adobe Systems and used in the post-production process of film making and television production. Among other things, After Effects can be used for keying, tracking, compositing, and animation.

Where are the practice files, and software downloads and freebies?

1. The practice files are located on the descriptions of the courses. After watching the courses, make sure you read the descriptions below them. Some courses include LINKS that you can click and downloadable files for practice and usage purposes.

2. The software downloads are located on your profile. Simply scroll down to APPLICATIONS and you will find it with the title GET YOUR APPS NOW! Please be reminded that these files will NOT be downloadable thru your MOBILE PHONES. These are only PC/LAPTOP compatible and WINDOWS compatible. If you are a MAC USER, we suggest you shift to WINDOWS to fully use the software we offer or check the FORUM for instructions.

3. Freebies are also on the descriptions of the courses.

Why can't I see the APPLICATIONS on my profile ?

Please check your SCREEN SIZE. Make sure it is on 90% and MAXIMIZED.
